Indelible

Many people inquire into Sean John's secret shark taming process. How does he transition the wild shark into a life of adventure and human cooperation? Why is he the only man in the world who can deftly achieve this feat? It is a mystery that Sean John is in no hurry to solve.

The truth is that he's not exactly sure why it is only him with this skill. He communes with the sharks, and leaves them with experiences so indelible that the creatures remain loyal until their dying breath.

Leviathan

There were parts of the ocean where even Sean John and his sharks didn't dare venture. Deep, dark, valleys underwater. Treacherous and dangerous. Pockets of water inhabited by terrifying creatures of wicked shapes and unimaginable sizes. One creature from these depths Sean John accidentally discovered on his ship's radar. It was a leviathan so massive that Sean John thought it must be a man-made vessel.

Verbicide

I never knew a guy as enthusiastic as Planky Wilson. He was kinda like an oracle, in that he always had an answer to everything. He was kinda like a politician in that his answers were always made up. Every six months or so he'd have a brand new catch phrase that he'd spout out any time he could. He practiced verbicide on those by drilling them to exhaustion. It took him a while to figure out everyone got tired of him and his catch phrase 2 weeks after he so proudly unveiled it.

Soothsay

I can look back on this day and see the pivot point of my life. If I had the ability to soothsay at that time, and I could've seen what I become when I choose to join the program, I never would've done it. I've done a lot of things I'm not proud of. A lot of things I can never make up for.

Grabble

Princess Monolawa gulped down an involuntary retch. The rank pile of half-digested shark stomach insides overpowered the air. It looked like Teeter had been having quite quite diverse diet. Sean John didn't hesitate. He kneeled down next to the steaming pile of filth, shoved his arm in, and grabbled for the missing stone.

Ad hominem

It's just 2 days before the Island Nation Summit. Princess Monolawa looks at hear options. If Dr. Pantigal's threats are true, than the entire continent is in danger if the ceremonies go as planned. And she is powerless to warn anyone. Perhaps if she makes a coy public appeal, one that won't violate Pantigal's obscene and arbitrary demand for silence. She could appeal not to people's logical side, but their baser instincts. Making an ad hominem argument to delay the summit would be a long shot. It would make her highly unpopular, regardless if it worked or not.

Frippery

The very first time I met the illustrious and ostentatious Jane McGonagall, I was confused. I couldn't tell if she was prepared for a costume party later that evening, or if she simply dressed herself with an eye toward extreme showiness. Of course we all know now that Jane practiced frippery in its pure form - a woman who wasn't afraid to show off. A woman who simply enjoyed being looked at and approached.

Flit

Down the lovers lay, bodies and minds free to wander. They look at each other, at the ceiling, at the curtain and the sunlight streaming into the bedroom. They mumble and giggle and marvel at one another. Time flits by like a careless leaf.

Scintillate

Sean John lay in the bed, staring at the ceiling of a hut. Princess Monolawa fast asleep beside him. Though he wants to remain and comfort her when she wakes, he needs to formulate a plan of attack for tomorrow's mission. His mind never scintillates in the morning without a shirt stroll on the beach.

Effloresce

I always knew that Peter had incredible talent within him. It wasn't until a proper training regimen that he could hone that talent and effloresce into a hero for many.
