Jubilarian

One of the balloons spilt from the group, drifted to the ceiling, popped loudly. Darin made one more incision in the skull. From my perspective, it sure did seem inappropriate to have a whole bunch of bright balloons in the morgue, but 25 years as the lead autopsy examiner changes your perspective, I suppose. Darin became a jubilarian that day, and he could celebrate however he chose.

Even though we lost the loot, the very thing we traveled across the world and through the dense jungle to retrieve, it was okay. When I sat down and listened...just stopped walking,stopped rushing,stopped worrying... i could feel the flow of nature. The wind through the leaves,the bird calls patterns, the cautious reptiles streaking through vegetarian, the entire eurhythmic show that was life for every creature.
