fiducial

After each and every item on that list had been checked off, after all the pent up admonition had been spilled, after I was buried in my own regrets, she looked me in the eyes and gave me a reason to change. From then on, she became my fiducial anchor. The only one I can trust.

Rollick

Sean John loved his sharks. If he had to keep any confined in a small aquarium style location for a long period of time, he always set aside a weekly day to bring the shark out to an area where they could rollick on their own, with no constraints.

Ataraxia

We lay down and look up. Green, rolling leaves, limb after limb. Winds whisper through the branches. We found our station, we found our state of isolation, we found our ataraxia.
